Visions – Original Blue and Gold Textured Abstract Painting
Visions is an original contemporary abstract painting featuring a captivating combination of deep blue, turquoise, petrol, teal and warm bronze-gold tones. Its richly layered surface creates a sense of mystery, depth and quiet movement.
The composition is dominated by a luminous passage of blue-green colour, surrounded by earthy metallic tones and darker, weathered areas. These contrasting elements give the artwork an almost architectural character, reminiscent of ancient surfaces, natural mineral formations and traces left behind by time.
I created this painting through successive layers of acrylic paint and texture paste, developing a complex surface of raised structures, fine cracks, subtle impressions and expressive marks. Each layer adds another dimension, inviting the viewer to discover new details with every closer look.
The various shades of blue are particularly important to this composition. From deep petrol and muted blue to brighter turquoise and greenish-blue highlights, they create a fascinating interplay with the warmer golden and bronze-coloured areas.
For me, Visions is about imagination and the freedom of interpretation. The painting does not tell one fixed story. Instead, its abstract forms invite the viewer to discover personal associations, hidden landscapes or fragments of memory.
The generous square format makes this original artwork an elegant statement piece for a contemporary living room, bedroom, office or sophisticated interior.
Presented in a taupe-coloured floater frame, the painting gains a harmonious, refined finish that complements its earthy colours and richly textured surface.
