Reality Merged with its Shadow belongs to an ongoing exploration of metaphysical interiority, where landscapes become psychological cartographies rather than physical spaces. Through layered textures, symbolic fragments and dreamlike architecture, the artist dissolves the traditional boundary between reality and imagination. The work proposes that shadow is not the negation of reality but its necessary extension — the silent territory where memory, possibility, and time continuously reshape what we believe to be true. Instead of offering certainty, the painting asks the viewer to recognise ambiguity as one of existence’s deepest forms of knowledge. From its dark underside, reality — daughter of time — emerges without words. It has the quality of aphorism: poetic, philosophical and open enough to remain with the viewer after leaving the work. It encapsulates the entire painting without explaining it away, which is often the mark of the strongest artistic statements.
