There was no Beginning 2025 is an original digital painting by Vakim Pirdon — an artist who brings the devotion and mastery of the Old Masters into a bold contemporary digital medium. Working with extraordinary depth of light, layering and shadow, Vakim creates paintings that feel simultaneously timeless and visionary: metaphysical, celestial, and deeply human. These are statement pieces for collectors who want art that commands a room and rewards contemplation.

Available printed on fine quality paper or canvas, framed or unframed.

— Curatorial Note —

There was no beginning.

In There was no Beginning, a universe without origin unfolds — where matter drifts between emergence and decay, and time dissolves into an endless present. Refusing any fixed point of creation, the work suggests that existence is not a moment but a continuous unfolding — an unanswered question suspended in form.

Beginning and end collapse into the same gesture. The mute earthen palette — burnt reds, oxidised browns, and shadowed greys — reinforces the sense of primordial ambiguity. It feels ancient, yet not historical; cosmic, yet deeply internal. As if the question of the universe is inseparable from the question of the self.

About the Work
