The Unequal Reality 2024 is an original digital painting by Vakim Pirdon — an artist who brings the devotion and mastery of the Old Masters into a bold contemporary digital medium. Working with extraordinary depth of light, layering and shadow, Vakim creates paintings that feel simultaneously timeless and visionary: metaphysical, celestial, and deeply human. These are statement pieces for collectors who want art that commands a room and rewards contemplation.

Available printed on fine quality paper or canvas, framed or unframed.

— Curatorial Note —

The work suggests that reality is not evenly distributed, but fractured — experienced through asymmetries of light, perception, and circumstance. What is visible and what remains unveiled do not carry the same weight. The canvas becomes the site where these imbalances are registered, where certain truths emerge while others recede. In this sense, reality is not shared equally, but lived through discontinuities — marked by absence as much as by presence. This work situates the canvas not as a fixed form but as a site of continual becoming. Fragmentation operates here as both structure and condition: reality is not represented, but dispersed — emerging through intermittent flashes of light and zones deliberately left fragile, resisting resolution, holding instead a tension between presence and dissolution.

Reality is not one. It fractures, multiplies, and contradicts — and in that contradiction, truth is found.

In The Unequal Reality, Vakim Pirdon confronts the impossibility of a single, fixed world. Form and light compete, coexist, and dissolve into one another — a meditation on the many truths that exist simultaneously, none greater than the other.

About the Work

A digital painting by Vakim Pirdon, produced to the highest archival standards using Adobe RGB 1998 colour space — a process so precise in resolution and colour fidelity it approaches the quality of engraving. The result captures the full tonal depth and symbolic resonance of Pirdon's original digital painting process.
