Pradera de Flores is an original abstract floral landscape inspired by the richness and untamed beauty of a meadow in full bloom.
A dense field of expressive flowers stretches across the wide canvas, glowing in vibrant shades of magenta, violet, orange and pink. Deep greens and almost black passages create a dramatic foundation, while the luminous blue-grey sky above brings openness, distance and balance to the composition.
I worked with layered colour, pronounced textures and spontaneous marks, allowing individual flowers to emerge from more abstract passages. Some blossoms are clearly recognizable, while others dissolve into colour and gesture. Drips, scraped areas and visible traces of the painting process give the surface an organic, richly worked character.
For me, Pradera de Flores is less about depicting a particular place than capturing the feeling of standing before a wild meadow overflowing with colour – slightly untamed, constantly changing and full of life.
The panoramic 120 × 40 cm format emphasizes the impression of a landscape extending beyond the edges of the canvas. Framed and ready to hang, it makes a striking yet atmospheric focal point in a contemporary interior.
