Golden Echoes is an original abstract painting by Edelgard Schroer, created in a warm and sophisticated palette of gold, ochre, beige, soft brown and subtle grey-blue tones. Rich textures, layered surfaces and expressive geometric structures give the artwork a distinctive architectural character.
The composition combines weathered, organic areas with strong vertical lines and sculptural circular forms. I created the surface through multiple layers of acrylic paint and texture paste, allowing traces, imperfections and relief-like structures to remain visible. Golden highlights catch the light and subtly change their appearance throughout the day.
I wanted Golden Echoes to feel like fragments of time and memory – traces of something ancient meeting a quiet, contemporary aesthetic. Despite its pronounced structures, the restrained colour palette gives the painting a calm and elegant presence.
With its unusual panoramic format, Golden Echoes works beautifully above a sofa, sideboard, bed or in a spacious contemporary interior.
